MEXICAN STREET CARNE ASADA TACOS



INGREDIENTS


  • 1 pound flank steak or skirt steak

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

  • juice of 1 lime

  • 3 cloves of garlic (minced)

  • 2 tbsp. cilantro (chopped)

  • 1 tsp. chili powder

  • 1/2 tsp. cumin

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 6-8 small corn or flour tortillas

OPTIONAL TOPPINGS

  • chopped tomatoes

  • chopped white onion

  • diced avocado

  • chopped cilantro

  • cotija cheese

INSTRUCTIONS


Cut the flank steak into one-inch pieces. In a medium sized bowl add the soy sauce, Worcestershire, lime juice, garlic, cilantro, chili powder, cumin, and salt and pepper. Add the steak and let marinate in the fridge for 1-2 hours.


Heat a medium sized pan (ideally cast iron) to medium-high heat. Add the steak and marinade and cook for about 5-7 mins or until there isn't anymore pink.


After letting rest for a few mins start making your Mexican steak tacos!
